Recruiter – Customer Service

The position is located in our Grand Rapids office and will report to the Recruiting Manager, Americas.


Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing recruiting requirements by studying job requisitions & working with managers to discuss needs and create staffing strategies;

  • Recruiting,screening and interviewing candidates via telephone and/or in person;

  • Providing candidates with organization info, opportunities, and benefits;

  • Scheduling candidates for interviews with management;

  • Supporting management in the selection and hiring process;

  •  Assisting in providing training and tools to support managers in effectively recruiting and selecting staff;

  • Providing general HR support and assistance as requested/required;

  • Develop cost-effective sourcing strategy for talent identification;

  • Strategically build candidate pipeline through various sources including but not limited to on-line recruiting tools, direct search, networking, professional associations;

  • Build and maintain global networks of specialists in specific areas;

  • Initiate and conduct screening, including phone interviews;

  • Manage third party suppliers for designated roles including agencies, research, online job boards, social media and business tools;

  • Maintain recruitment databases, e-files, effectively using the applicant tracking and reporting system.

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to accurately assess candidates’ technical and interpersonal skills and provide qualified candidates to management;

  • Outstanding communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills are a must, as well as strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and other relevant software applications/systems;

  • Excellent ability to build and maintain rapport with management as well as candidates;

  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking systems is a plus.

  • Extensive knowledge of e-recruitment tools and channels;

  • Both experience in a recruitment agency as well as a recruiter in a company, extensive network in the field;

  • Strong track record in managing creative international recruitment processes with high levels of professionalism and efficiency;

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex operational processes;

  • Commercial awareness and results-driven with hands-on mentality;

  • Proactive and customer focused;

  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally.

Required Experience:

  • Direct sourcing experience preferred;

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent industry experience;

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment for call center, sales and/or various high level roles and disciplines;

  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
