The Purchase to Pay team in Amsterdam is looking for a Master Data Specialist to join the team. P2P is a part of the strategy for Finance Operations at Booking.com, focusing on an efficient and collaborative implementation and execution of procurement processes. P2P is responsible for ensuring that all purchases are executed according to well-defined and harmonized processes, procedures, tools and systems.

The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for triggering, developing and implementing master data related projects to enhance the quality of our database, whilst taking ownership of all stakeholder management and communication with the business.

The specialist will also be responsible for process creation, mapping, implementing and identifying efficiencies whenever possible.

B.Responsible:

The Master Data Specialist is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Create and manage new user access requests for the new purchasing tool

  • Actively review the vendor master database, correcting any irregularities and making sure that vendors are maintained in accordance with compliance standards & guidelines

  • Ensure standard documented processes in place for future needs.

  • Assist in team brainstorming sessions to drive improvements

  • Perform in accordance with business policy and procedures

  • Process and procedural improvement

B.Skilled

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant area. Prefered
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of procurement standards and guidelines
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English. Ability to speak another language in the EMEA region is an advantage
  • 1+ years experience in a business environment.
  • Strong MS Office skills 
  • Curious, self-starter, independent, and “can do” mentality
